Are you a conservation professional or volunteer? Join us for the 2026 Christina Basin Task Force Bus Tour. This year’s tour focuses on the Brandywine Creek as a drinking water source, dam removal on the Brandywine, brownfield remediation on the Christina River and urban green stormwater infrastructure sites. Tour sites include:
Porter Water Drinking Water Treatment Plant– tour of the water treatment process and current issues with water quality with Mary Neutz, City of Wilmington.
Johnston Park Bioretention Project– City of Wilmington, featuring three bioretention basins presented by Kelly Wilson, Delaware Nature Society
Rooftop of ShopRite Shopping Center– Unique birds-eye- view of CBR4 brownfield and remediation sites installed over the past 30 years and a view of new projects in design along the Christina River, with John Cargill and Todd Keyser, DNREC.
