Annual Cleanups

In the early 1980s cleanup efforts began on the Brandywine and Red Clay Creeks. These first ventures involved volunteers, then mostly BVA (Brandywine Valley Association) and RCVA (Red Clay Valley Association) members, cleaning up roadside trash along the creek and pulling large items out of the streams. These annual clean-ups continue today under the merged organization, Brandywine Red Clay Alliance.
