SUMMARY:Polar Plunge
DESCRIPTION:Continue the winter tradition by participating in BRC’s Annual Brandywine Polar Plunge. Experience the Brandywine Creek in a whole new way. Whether you dip a toe in or take the full plunge you are welcome to make a splash! Fundraising is encouraged! Participants can collect donations from friends\, family and co-workers\, in exchange for jumping into the icy water in the middle of winter. Team participation is encouraged. \nThe Polar Plunge event is hosted by the BRC to support their efforts to protect and conserve the natural resources of the Brandywine and Red Clay Valleys. Since 2008\, nearly 1\,200 people have taken the plunge to raise over $107\,700 to protect and conserve our region’s natural resources. The Polar Plunge is one of BRC’s major fundraisers to offset the cost of our environmental education programs reaching nearly 12\,000 school students per year. \nThe Brandywine Polar Plunge is presented by Manito Abstract Company\, Inc. Generous support also provided by The North Face\, Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning\,Hickory House Catering\, Brandywine Picnic Park\, Meadow Springs Farm\, Champion Specialty Advertising\, Aztec Printing\, Del Bittle Music\, McGovern.
