DESCRIPTION:For Children 3-5 Years Old \nBooks come to life at the Myrick Conservation Center as Potter the Otter reads a book to inspire. Afterwards\, the story continues into a real-life\, outdoor adventure. Adult participation is optional. A snack will be provided. Space is limited. Please register by the Wednesday before class. DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays\, October 4\, 11\, 25\, November 8\, 29\, December 6 \n7:00-9:00 p.m. \nAges 11-15 \nMembers: $125 \nThis very popular program is led by Jim Jordan\, BRC’s Executive Director\, Derek Stoner and others\, and is offered in partnership with BRC\, Delaware Nature Society and Natural Wildlife Federation. Students will learn the art and science of waterfowling\, and the rich American heritage associated with waterfowling\, and the critical role that hunters play in conservation. They will study wildlife management\, habitat protection and conservation\, and decoy carving\, along with retriever training\, shotgun shooting techniques and waterfowl calling.  In addition\, students will have the opportunity to obtain their hunter safety certification. This program meets at Ashland Nature Center in Hockessin\, DE. Parent participation encouraged\, by not required. (No additional charge for parents.) Programs offered are Basic and Advanced Young Waterfowlers. (Advanced for alumni of previous years.) \nPlease click here for registration.

DESCRIPTION:Trail Creek Outfitters and Patagonia have teamed up to help BRC and two other conservation non-profits. \nHow it works: Trail Creek has $5\,000 to invest in three local environmental non-profits. The Land Conservancy of Southern Chester County\, Delaware Nature Society\, and Brandywine Red Clay Alliance will all receive a donation\, but YOU get to decide how much. \nHow you can help: Each purchase of a Patagonia product at Trail Creek Outfitters will earn you a token to vote for one of the selected organizations.
